Sound Detectives

Children's programming, fictional podcasts, and audio education are all passions of mine--- and this podcast combined them all!

I joined Stitcher / SiriusXM during the development process for this show, giving me a great opportunity to see it grow from the ground up. I researched possible mystery sounds, scheduled interviews with real world experts, and conducted interviews out in the field.

Some highlights include visiting Nasa's Jet Propulsion Laboratory, interviewing the band OK Go, and recording in a full beekeepers suit.

In addition to my audio work, I led the efforts for a number of auxiliary materials for the website and social media. These included motion graphic videos, materials for our presenting sponsor, and website activity pages.

Most notably was the Bonus Mystery Sound segment I developed. This not only appeared at the end of each episode, but also had weekly videos. I chose the sounds, wrote the scripts, oversaw in-studio video recording with LeVar Burton, and edited many of the final videos.
